Diesel emissions diagnostics and repair for pickups, commercial trucks and heavy equipment.
Most diesel emissions problems show up the same way: a warning light, a failed regeneration, then limp mode. Replacing the filter or valve without finding why it failed usually means paying for the same repair twice. Sask ECU & Airbag Services diagnoses the whole aftertreatment system — sensors, injectors, boost and engine software — and fixes the cause.
Leaking or worn injectors, boost leaks, failed sensors and outdated engine software are behind most repeat DPF and EGR failures. Because we also specialize in ECU diagnostics and programming, we can update or reprogram the engine and aftertreatment modules when a calibration fix is needed.
Light-duty pickups (Duramax, Cummins, Power Stroke, EcoDiesel), commercial trucks and farm and heavy equipment. See our diesel and heavy equipment diagnostics page for the engine brands we service.
We do not remove or disable DPF, EGR or DEF systems. Every repair keeps your truck compliant.
A DPF that cannot finish a regeneration fills with soot until the engine computer limits power to protect itself. The cause is usually upstream: a failed differential pressure sensor, an exhaust temperature sensor, a leaking injector, a boost leak or a sticking EGR valve. We find that cause first, because cleaning the filter without fixing it means the light comes back.
Often, yes. If the filter is loaded with soot or ash but not cracked or melted, a forced regeneration or an off-vehicle cleaning can restore it. We test the filter and its sensors before recommending cleaning or replacement.
Coolant loss with no visible leak, white smoke with a sweet smell, overheating, and coolant in the intake are the common signs. We pressure-test the cooler to confirm it before any parts are replaced.
No. Removing or disabling emissions equipment is illegal in Canada. We repair, clean and replace emissions components so the truck runs properly and stays legal.
